(Minneapolis, MN) — The Golden Gopher softball team has a huge four-game Big Ten series at Northwestern this weekend. Minnesota is 15-5 on the year, while the 22nd-ranked Wildcats are 18-2 on the season and leading the conference. Gopher junior outfielder Natalie Denhartog of Hopkins leads her team and the league with six home runs and says this is an important weekend for Minnesota to fight into title contention. Friday’s series opener in Evanston starts at 3 P-M, while a Saturday doubleheader begins at noon. The series finale on Sunday gets underway at 11 A-M. The Sunday contest will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network.
