(Woodbury, MN) — Golden Gopher sophomore center Daniel Oturu of Woodbury says he is doing the best he can to stay in shape during this time of “lock down” in Minnesota. The former Cretin-Derham Hall standout earned all-America status this past season with the Gophers and announced his intentions early last week to enter the N-B-A Draft. With gyms closed, Oturu says he is doing as much as he can with limited workout resources at his house. For now, he is concentrating on hiring an agent and once that is done, that agency will put a plan in place to get Oturu in touch with teams and hopefully at some point they will start allowing workouts. Oturu says his decision to enter the draft came last weekend and he made public that announcement last Monday. He says he felt his improvement from a strong freshman campaign to a dominating sophomore campaign was enough to put him in the conversation to get drafted in the opening round. The N-B-A Draft is scheduled to take place on June 25th.
