(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota football team is less than three weeks from its season opener against Ohio State. The Golden Gophers practiced in front of the public at Huntington Bank Stadium last night and will have a closed workout today on campus. Minnesota will entertain the Buckeyes on Thursday night, September 2nd. O-S-U is a two-touchdown favorite in the game. Minnesota offensive tackle Sam Schlueter of Victoria says this Golden Gopher team can be a special one because of how close it is. He says the players enjoy being around each other and that’s why so many came back for their extra year of eligibility.
