(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team (19-8, 7-8 B1G) fell to the Oregon Ducks (18-8, 9-6 B1G) 76-70 at home Sunday afternoon. The Golden Gophers had four players score in double figures, led by Grace Groholski who had who had 16 points and four assists. Sophie Hart tacked on 15 points and six rebounds and Amaya Battle chipped in as well with 14 points and six assists. Minnesota shared the ball well in Sunday’s game, racking up 17 assists on 27 made field goals. Battle’s six assists paced the Gophers and Grocholski also helped out with four assists of her own. Minnesota has now lost five of their last six and will head to Purdue to face the Boilermakers on Wednesday night at 6 P-M.
