(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team poured it on early against Purdue on Sunday afternoon and never let up as they cruised to an 88-55 win at Williams Arena. The Gophers led 21-12 after one quarter and 43-23 at the half. It didn’t get any better for the Boilermakers in the second half as the Gophers continued to their pace on their way to a fourth straight win. Minnesota is now 16-6 overall and 7-4 in the Big Ten. The win also moves their record 11-2 on the season on their home floor. The Gophers are off until Thursday when they travel to Iowa City to face the Hawkeyes for a 6 P-M tip.
