(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team poured it on early against Purdue on Sunday afternoon and never let up as they cruised to an 88-55 win at Williams Arena.  The Gophers led 21-12 after one quarter and 43-23 at the half.  It didn’t get any better for the Boilermakers in the second half as the Gophers continued to their pace on their way to a fourth straight win.  Minnesota is now 16-6 overall and 7-4 in the Big Ten.  The win also moves their record 11-2 on the season on their home floor.  The Gophers are off until Thursday when they travel to Iowa City to face the Hawkeyes for a 6 P-M tip.
