(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team came up big in the second and third quarters en route to a 110-73 win over Nebraska last night at Williams Arena. Golden Gopher star Rachel Banham of Lakeville poured in 32 points to lead a group of five Minnesota players in double figures. Carlie Wagner of New Richland added 20 points for the Gophers, who moved their overall record to 17-and-7 and their Big Ten mark to 9-and-4. Minnesota outscored Nebraska 24-to-5 in the second quarter and 38-to-20 in the third period. The Gophers will host rival Iowa on Monday night at the Barn.
