(Minneapolis, MN) — New Richland native Carlie Wagner knocked down the game-winning shot with less than a second remaining in overtime and the Golden Gophers beat fifth-rated Ohio State at Williams Arena last night, 90-88. Wagner finished with 26 points on 11-for-30 shooting and came up with the big shot late, as senior Rachel Banham of Lakeville had fouled out of the game. Banham scored a game-high 35 points. Minnesota improved its resume with the victory, moving to 19-and-9 on the season overall and 11-and-6 in the Big Ten. Ohio State dipped to 23-and-5 overall and 15-and-2 in the league. The Gophers close out the regular season with a game at Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
