The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team has accepted an invitation to one of the premier non-conference tournaments of the upcoming season in the Bahamas – the 2025 Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau, at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center.

Confirmed teams joining the Golden Gophers include Alabama, Belmont, Harvard, Ohio State, South Florida and West Virginia. All seven teams advanced to postseason play last season, including five NCAA Tournament teams (Alabama, Harvard, Ohio State, South Florida, West Virginia) and two WBIT teams (Minnesota, Belmont) – both of which reached the championship, with the Gophers taking the crown.

When the eighth team is announced, the tournament will feature two separate, four-team divisions resulting in two champions being crowned. Games are set for Nov. 24 and 26. Final match ups, game times and streaming information will be announced at a later date.

Minnesota’s 2025-26 roster features 10 returners, three transfers and two freshmen.
