The University of Minnesota soccer team earned a 0-0 tie against No. 9 UCLA on Sunday afternoon in front of 1,060 fans at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.
The Golden Gophers are now 6-6-2 overall and 2-4-2 in Big Ten play, while UCLA moves to 8-4-1 overall and 4-2-2 in the conference.
Goalkeeper Sarah Martin posted a career-best 12 saves to secure her fourth clean sheet of the season.
The Gophers recorded nine shots, while the Bruins totaled 20. Minnesota placed seven shots on goal, compared with UCLA’s 12.
Martin made six saves in each half, setting a new career high in the process.
Three Gophers recorded shots on goal in the first half, and four had opportunities to take the lead in the second.
Minnesota hits the road next weekend, facing Washington on Thursday at 9 p.m. Central and Oregon on Sunday at 3 p.m.
