The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum announced Thursday that the University of Minnesota women’s hockey team will participate in the 2025 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic. The Golden Gophers will face the Bemidji State University Beavers on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 at 5 p.m. CST at Lakeville Hasse Arena in Lakeville, Minn.

This will mark the Maroon and Gold’s fourth U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic appearance in the last six years. The program most recently appeared in the 2022 Face-Off Classic at the Andover Community Center, falling to St. Cloud State in a 4-1 matchup.

“Our team is really excited to participate in the Hall of Fame game,” said head coach Brad Frost. “It’s another opportunity to showcase the highest level of collegiate hockey to the masses. We can’t wait to play in Lakeville.”

The annual game raises awareness for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, Minn., and showcases women’s college hockey at the highest level.

Additional event details including ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.
