(Minneapolis, MN) — The Wisconsin Badgers used a 23-to-7 first half run to take a double digit lead on the Minnesota Golden Gophers and never looked back, winning 62-49. Minnesota was playing without suspended guards Kevin Dorsey, Nate Mason, and Dupree McBrayer. Walk-on freshman Stephon (STEFF-ON) Sharp of Bloomington paced all scorers with 16 points. Gopher center Bakary Konate (kuh-NOT-ay) grabbed 14 rebounds. Minnesota senior Joey King played in his final home game as a Gopher and struggled shooting the ball. He scored six points on one-of-nine shooting from the floor. The Gophers are now 8-and-21 on the season overall and 2-and-15 in the Big Ten. Minnesota closes out the regular season with a Saturday game at Rutgers at noon.
