Gophers pull away late behind Lynch

No. 14 Minnesota 107, Niagara 81

MINNEAPOLIS — Golden Gopher senior center Reggie Lynch of Edina scored 18 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, blocked nine shots, and handed out six assists in a 107-81 win over Niagara last night at Williams Arena.

The 14th-ranked Gophers also got double-doubles from Jordan Murphy and Nate Mason.  Murphy scored 18 points and hauled in 11 rebounds, while Mason netted 15 points and dished out 11 assists.  Sophomore Amir Coffey chipped in with 18 points.

The Purple Eagles received 26 points from Kahlil Dukes.

Minnesota registered a program record 32 assists.  The Gophers are now 3-0 and host Western Carolina on Sunday.
