Gov Dayton post-election: alarmed and frightened for future of country

November 9, 2016 By Scott Peterson

daytonelection

Governor Dayton today commenting on last night’s presidential election results said he’s “very alarmed and frightened for the future of this country.”

Dayton went on to explain that in his view, “if [Trump]  pushes this divide further and plays on these prejudices and biases that he used to get himself elected, it’s going to be very destructive for this country and for this world.”

Dayton says we are “a closely divided electorate” in Minnesota and in the country. He says the question leaders face now is are we going to push those divides further, or are we going to bring people together.
