(St. Paul, MN) — After what he calls a “cordial” meeting with legislative leaders today (FRI), Governor Dayton says a special session is still possible. He says as long as lawmakers are willing to work toward that end, he’s willing to work with them and will not impose any deadlines. Three bipartisan work groups met at the State Capitol Thursday to discuss extending unemployment for laid off steelworkers on the Iron Range, REAL ID compliance and job creation in north Minneapolis. The governor says the groups will likely meet again next week.
