“Terribly unfair,” says Governor Mark Dayton about Republicans calling for a reorganization of the state agency that runs U-S Bank Stadium, because officials gave family and friends free tickets for suites during events. Dayton says G-O-P lawmakers overlook the other 99 percent which has been done well. He says Republicans “just pounced on this one mistake… which has been admitted, and [they’re] trying to use that for maximum publicity and also to try to discredit the whole operation.”
Vernon Center Senator Julie Rosen says there has been a breach of trust by officials of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority. A Republican-backed bill would eliminate Chair Michele Kelm-Helgen’s job and reconstitute the authority’s governing board.
