Gov. Dayton and Litchfield Mayor Keith Johnson visit a tornado-damaged neighborhood
Governor Mark Dayton visited Litchfield and Watkins today to survey damage from Monday’s tornadoes. He said Litchfield could be eligible for emergency assistance from a special state fund. Mayor Keith Johnson told Dayton about the storms, “A lot of people have been displaced because of it and a lot of hardship. We hope that you can do everything you can through the Governor’s Office to help.” Visiting other storm damage, the governor said he “wanted to see first hand the damage here in Watkins and mainly see what we could do to help.”
