Gov Dayton urges Minnesotans to cheer on local Olympians in Rio

Governor Mark Dayton and Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith are calling on all Minnesotans to “cheer on and support” local athletes competing in the 2016 Olympics in Rio. 16 Minnesota athletes are participating in a variety of sports like badminton, rowing, rugby and track and field. Four players from the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx–including Hutchinson’s Lindsey Whalen–will go for the gold in women’s basketball.
