Governor Dayton has set today as the deadline for lawmakers to agree on specifics for a possible special session.Work groups have been meeting at the Capitol since Monday to hammer out the details on a tax cut package, bonding and financial healthcare help for Minnesotans who need it. The governor acknowledges recent attempts at getting a special session going have stalled but says “details are determined and not always favorable, but we’ll see what happens this time.” Discussions began again last Friday when officials announced a $1.4 billion surplus forecast for the next biennium. If a special session is called, it would likely take place on Tuesday December 20th.
