Gov. Walz has “concerns” about hospital care availability as COVID cases spike in MN

November 13, 2020 By Bill Werner

State officials continue voicing concern about COVID cases among health care workers, and we asked Governor Tim Walz about his current confidence whether hospital care will be available for every Minnesotan who needs it. “It would be disingenuous to tell you I don’t have concerns,” Walz said. “We are in uncharted waters in the pandemic.” He’s urging Minnesotans to redouble their COVID safety efforts, to protect health care workers and everyone else.

World-renowned epidemiologist Doctor Michael Osterholm says, “Health care workers, we’ve asked ’em to run three marathons today and then we ask ’em to run three marathons tomorrow and the next day. At some point they can’t continue to run those marathons. They are just simply mentally and physically exhausted.”

New restrictions on bars, restaurants and private social gatherings take effect tonight (Fri 10pm).
