Gov. Walz highlights new protections for residents of assisted living facilities

Governor Tim Walz at an Elder Abuse Awareness Day Conference in Brooklyn Center today highlights a bill he signed that establishes greater protections for residents of assisted living facilities. It requires all such facilities be licensed, establishes a residents’ bill of rights, and allows families to install cameras in their loved one’s room to monitor their care.
