“Unacceptable,” says Governor Tim Walz about a number of controversial remarks by Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, including that Israel’s supporters are pushing “allegiance to a foreign country.” The governor told KFGO News in Fargo-Moorhead, “At a time like this in our country where there’s a lot of division, we have got to really guard, each and every one of us, against using that language.”
U-S House Democrats have reportedly pulled back from voting today (Wed) on a resolution that would have implicitly rebuked Omar. It comes after a group of progressives announced support for her and called on Democratic Party leaders to equally condemn anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism and xenophobia.
