A 24-month timeline to expand high speed Internet access in Greater Minnesota, Governor Tim Walz said today, telling a group of mayors and other elected officials it will be in the budget proposal he rolls out in a few weeks. Walz says it “tackles once and for all… and does a moonshot-type… of an approach towards broadband in Greater Minnesota. We don’t have time to wait ’til 2025.”
Walz calls a House bill with 65 to 70 million dollars “pretty aggressive” and “in the right ballpark.”
