A conservative group is suing Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, alleging there’s a lawyer in his office paid for by billionaire Democrat Michael Bloomberg. Attorney Doug Seaton says Bloomberg can certainly pursue his own political and social agenda: “If he were willing to hire his own lawyers and go off and do it, who can complain about that? But what he’s done instead is to implant these lawyers within the Attorney General’s Office here and in many other states.”
Attorney General Ellison responds his office is happy to accept the assistance of New York University Law School “to help me advance the cause of environmental stewardship.” Ellison says his office can legally accept such help.
