A Detroit Lakes, Minn. man says the popularity of a video that shows a BNSF freight train barreling through a monstrous snowdrift has taken him by surprise.
Cory Bellefeuille was on a bridge near Hawley, Minn. on Sunday when he shot the video from the top of a bridge during a ground blizzard. The video shows the train creating a massive cloud of snow as it passes underneath the camera.
Bellefuille says that after he shared the video on Facebook, he started receiving social media messages and Facebook friend requests from around the world, including Australia and United Arab Emirates.
“The first night it was cool. I think before I went to bed that night, it was up to 80,000 views” Bellefuille said. “It’s gotten kind of out of control, a lot of unwanted attention.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, the video has been viewed at least 670,000 times. Thanks to MNN affiliate KFGO. The video can be seen by clicking link,
