A health care bill that would resume federal payments to health insurers and reverse funding cuts to MinnesotaCare appears to be faltering in Washington D-C — but Senator Al Franken remains optimistic, saying they’re working to get bi-partisan co-sponsors. Franken says, “If we get enough — and I believe we will — we will go to [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell and say, bring this to a vote.”
Some Republicans see the measure as propping up Obamacare without providing significant health care reforms they want. Franken says the bill would forestall significant increases in health insurance premiums.
