Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, who announced a week ago he was taking leave based on a doctor’s recommendation, is today shedding light on reasons for the leave. Freeman says he’s being medicated to reduce stress and stabilize his blood pressure. And he says he’s been evaluated for “alcohol issues” and will be entering a “well-respected treatment program beginning Monday.” Freeman says his goal is to return to work no later than mid-June.
