Hennepin Co Attny asks for public’s help in fatal pawnshop shooting during Lake St. riots

The Hennepin County Attorney is asking for the public’s help in the fatal shooting of Calvin Horton, Junior during the Lake Street riots. Horton was shot in or near Cadillac Pawn on May 27th. The pawnshop owner was arrested the night of the shooting and was later released. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman says so far, only one witness who saw the incident has come forward and investigators have not found any surveillance video. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crimestoppers at 800-222-8477. Noted attorney Ben Crump is calling for justice on behalf of the Horton family at a press conference this afternoon (12:30 pm).
