(Brooklyn Center, MN) — High school football and volleyball will both be played this fall in Minnesota after all. The Minnesota State High School League governing board approved plans for the two sports to have seasons at a special meeting yesterday. The board of directors had previously pushed the two sports to the spring in a vote in August. M-S-H-S-L executive director Erich Martens says they are happy to provide football and volleyball players a chance to compete in the fall, but cautioned everyone needs to follow the proper protocols to ensure things run as smoothly as possible. Practice for volleyball and football will begin on September 28th, with games resuming in early October.
