Hollins Playing In Belgium
(Louvain, Belgium) — Former Golden Gopher basketball star Andre Hollins is playing professional basketball in Belgium and lives about 20 miles from the Brussels airport where yesterday’s terrorist bombing took place. Hollins had just purchased a plane ticket for his girlfriend, Gopher women’s star Rachel Banham, to come visit him for Easter weekend. She was supposed to fly there today. They have canceled her trip. Hollins practiced basketball with his team as usual after yesterday’s incidents, but says life for him has now changed. He says he will be very careful about avoiding tourist spots and public places.
