House Dems accuse Repubs of dragging feet on sex harassment issue

Frustrated House Democrats said this week they’re setting up their own working group to address sex harassment at the State Capitol, accusing Republicans of moving too slowly.  “They’ve been very vocal about paying lip service to the issue but, other than two hours of very problematic training, really nothing has happened,” says Roseville Democrat Jamie Becker-Finn.    House Majority Leader Joyce Peppin responds Republicans will have comprehensive recommendations soon — potentially even legislation dealing with sex harassment in the work force at large.  Peppion says, “We did learn a lot,… especially the employment law attorneys that came forward on sexual harassment in the work force generally, so there might be some potential for change there as well.”
