A small white house in Annandale that once belonged to Jacob Wetterling’s killer, Danny Heinrich, was torn down this morning as Patty Wetterling looked on. Twin Cities real estate developer Tim Thone bought the property, vowing to demolish it as a Christmas present to his now-grown children who grew up under the shadow of the Wetterling case. Authorities searched the house last year and found child pornography and other evidence they used to convince Heinrich to confess that he kidnapped and murdered Jacob Wetterling 27 years ago.
