House Republicans say, if Governor Mark Dayton wants 10 million dollars more to fix the state’s troubled vehicle registration system, he can get it by trimming his own agency budgets. Representative Paul Torkelson from Hanska says, “By prioritizing existing executive branch funding, the governor can show Minnesotans that he indeed does accept responsibility and is taking action to limit the continued cost to taxpayers.”
Dayton hasn’t responded to these latest developments but said earlier in the day, “Buck stops here. People can blame me…. As I said to the legislative leaders today, after they’re done blaming me, what are we gonna do to fix this?”
