With retail stores preparing to re-open as soon as Monday under the governor’s relaxed COVID-19 orders, how is Minnesota doing on preparations for the coming COVID-19 peak? State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says for I-C-U beds and ventilators, “On both of those measures, we are still looking very much to be on-plan.”
Malcolm says they continue working “really hard” to further bolster supplies of personal protective equipment. “Don’t for a minute mean to suggest that we’re standing down or standing pat on preparations. All of that work continues,” she says.
