MN-DOT and the State Patrol have closed I-94 between Fergus Falls and the North Dakota border, and Highway 10 is closed from Lake Park to Dilworth because of dangerous driving conditions. Officials say blowing snow is causing near-zero visibility and white-out conditions in some areas.
MN-DOT is advising no travel in a 12-county area in south-central Minnesota. The agency is pulling its plows at dusk due to strong winds creating near zero visibility and at times white-out conditions.
The State Patrol has responded to over 400 crashes statewide so far today, over 30 with injuries. There are nearly 500 reports of spinouts or vehicles going off the road.
