The State Patrol is advising drivers to stay well back from semis that still have snow on top of their trailers. It comes after a large chunk of ice flew off a semi and smashed through a car’s windshield Monday morning on I-694 in the northeast metro. The driver had minor injuries. Officials say the truck driver was not cited, but the company agreed to pay repair costs for the vehicle. The State Patrol in a Facebook post says it’s a driver’s responsibility to clear their vehicle before hitting the road.
