(Cohasset, MN) — An Itasca County Sheriff’s Deputy involved in a fatal fall shooting has been cleared of any wrong doing by the Itasca County Attorney’s Office. Officials say Deputy Steven Snyder fired at Adam Schneider, who confronted deputies with a shotgun as they were responding to a disturbance call in Cohasset on August 22nd. Investigators determined that Schneider ignored repeated orders from deputies to put the gun down, and he pointed the gun at deputies. The County Attorney concluded that all officers involved, and citizens in the area faced the threat of great bodily harm as a result of Schneider’s actions and Synder’s use of deadly force was justified.
