It’s Prince Day in St. Paul.
The capitol city is hosting a Prince tribute show tonight at Xcel Energy Center being headlined by Stevie Wonder. And lights throughout the city will be purple in honor of the Minnesota music icon. Mayor Chris Coleman says “you think about some of the talent we’ve sent out into the world from Minnesota, whether it’s Bob Dylan or Garrison Keilor, and Prince is at the top of the list of people who have had an impact.”
And Coleman says today’s events are a chance to celebrate Prince as a musician and a Minnesotan.
