The family of Jacob Wetterling mark what would have been his 39th birthday today with an ad in the St. Cloud Times. In the ad, the Wetterlings thank readers for their “love, kindness, prayers, generosity and support.” Jacob was 11 years old when he was abducted near St. Joseph in October of 1989. Last November, 53-year-old Danny Heinrich of Annandale was sentenced to 20 years on multiple federal child pornography charges. Two months before that Heinrich confessed to abducting, molesting and killing Jacob. Heinrich is serving his sentence at the Federal Medical Center Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts.
