(Eden Prairie, MN) — All-pro defensive end Jared Allen, who spent six seasons as a Minnesota Viking, has signed a one-day contract with the team so he can officially retire as a member of the franchise tomorrow (FRI). Allen ranks 3rd on the Vikings all-time sack list. He left the Vikings in 2014 and joined the Chicago Bears as a free agent. Allen played with the Carolina Panthers who made it to the Super Bowl last year.
