Jayme Closs reunited with aunt, suspect to be charged Monday with kidnapping, murder of her parents (AUDIO)

January 11, 2019 By Bill Werner

13-year-old Jayme Closs has been reunited with her aunt after escaping from her captor in northwest Wisconsin yesterday, following her kidnapping in mid-October. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said at a Friday afternoon briefing, “The suspect was not at home when Jayme escaped. While I don’t know how she escaped at this time, we believe that the suspect was out looking for her when law enforcement made contact with him.”

Authorities say 21-year-old Jake Patterson of Gordon, Wisconsin will be charged Monday with kidnapping, plus two counts of first-degree murder in the shotgun slaying of Jayme’s parents in Barron, Wisconsin last fall.
