Get rid of MNsure, a billion-dollar debacle that’s not working — says former state rep and former Minnesota G-O-P chairman Keith Downey, who announced Monday he’s running for governor. But Downey adds while health care is front and center right now because of the debate in Washington D-C, “the broader agenda of growing new and better jobs in Minnesota is in some ways more fundamentally important to average, everyday folks out there.” Downey says he has the business background to do that. He joins an increasingly crowded field of candidates for governor — four other Republicans and six Democrats.
