Klobuchar reaches goal of visiting all 99 counties in Iowa

December 28, 2019 By Bill Werner

Minnesota Senator and Democratic presidential hopeful Amy Klobuchar has reached her goal of visiting all 99 counties in neighboring Iowa.
Klobuchar told cheering supporters Friday night in Des Moines she learned something in her three terms as a U-S senator something that President Trump will never learn: “To get across a bridge, you have to build one — not blow one up.”

Earlier this month Klobuchar reached double digits for the first time in Iowa with 10 percent in an Emerson poll, but a later poll by Iowa State University showed her at only four percent — well behind Iowa front-runner Pete Buttigieg who had 24 percent. In most national polls Klobuchar has shown up in the low single digits. She *has* qualified for the seventh Democratic presidential debate January 14th in Des Moines.
