The chief prosecutor in La Crosse, Wisconsin says two officers were justified in shooting a suspect who approached them swinging a chain. He says the La Crosse officer and sheriff’s deputy acted in self-defense, believing their lives were in danger, and neither will be charged in the December 30th shooting of 37-year-old Daniel Lexvold. Lexvold is at a state facility while doctors determine if he’s mentally competent to stand trial.
