When President Obama gives his State of the Union address next month, look for an Iron Ranger to be in the audience. Senator Amy Klobuchar says she has invited laid-off United Taconite steelworker Dan Hill to be her guest at the January 12th address. Hill spoke recently at a meeting on the Iron Range with state and federal lawmakers as well as White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough. While talking with the leaders, he urged them to take action on foreign steel dumping. Senator Klobuchar says Hill worked hard to make his case and is hopeful that his appearance at the State of the Union will strengthen their efforts.
