Officials at the Salvation Army in Rochester say they had the largest turnout ever — over 300 people — for yesterday’s Thanksgiving dinner. And Major James Frye says they’re running ahead of last year on sign-ups for holiday help. Frye says, “People think that the economy is doing a little better, but there’s some things that folks have run into: Cost of health care and they’re having to pay higher premiums on that. Again, rents — and especially in the Rochester area.” To donate or sign up for bellringing, visit salvationarmynorth.org.
