State Senator John Marty says the coronavirus situation spotlights gaps in health insurance for some Minnesotans. “It’s a huge gap here, and we can’t expect people who have no coverage who may end up with several-thousand-dollar bills to go in and get checked out when we want them to,” Marty says. He adds that even though Minnesotans are being urged to stay home if they’re ill, some people — many of them fast food workers — don’t have paid sick time.
