A state lawmaker says former workers at Club Jager in Minneapolis, who quit because the owner donated to former K-K-K leader David Duke’s Senate campaign, should get state unemployment benefits. Saint Paul Democrat Tim Mahoney says state law allows benefits to be paid when employees quit for “good reason” — in this case, “They’re feeling threatened, both by their customers currently and their customers from before, because of the things that are being said to them.” State officials say they can’t comment on specific applications for unemployment benefits, but will follow state law.
