The Minnesota Twins announced that they have placed infielder Royce Lewis on the 10-day Injured List with a left hamstring strain (retroactive to June 14).
Lewis, who sustained the injury running to first base in the ninth inning on Friday, has hit .202 (20-for-99) with four doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, 11 walks, 10 runs scored and a .585 OPS in 30 games for the Twins. This is his second stint on the Injured List this season, after missing the first 34 games of the year with the same injury.
To replace Lewis on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. from Triple-A St. Paul. Keirsey Jr. hit .231 (9-for-39) with four doubles, four RBI, two walks, one stolen base, five runs scored and a .619 OPS in 10 games for the Saints after being optioned there on May 31. The 28-year-old was on the Twins’ 2025 Opening Day roster and went 7-for-64 with one home run, four RBI, one walk, five stolen bases and six runs scored in 45 games between March 27-May 30.
