Dakota County Technical College was on lockdown for nearly an hour this afternoon. It started just before 2pm and officials gave the all-clear just before 3pm. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a man on campus with what appeared to be a firearm in a holster. Students on campus were asked to remain in place, lock doors and shut off lights. After an extensive search, the man was not located and at this time there is no known threat to the campus. The incident remains under investigation.
