Looking for things to do MEA week? MNHS has ideas

October 20, 2016 By Scott Peterson

Parents looking for things to do with the kids during the MEA break–here’s an idea: on Friday families can meet Vikings cheerleaders and team mascot Viktor at the Gridiron Glory exhibit at the Minnesota History Center.

The Minnesota Historical Society’s Kris Bergquist says “Vikings photographer Andy Kenutis is actually going to be here at the museum and he’s going to be working with kids and families on how do you take these great action shots.”

Bergquist says  if that doesn’t sound like a good fit for your family, there’s also Harvest Days at the Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River this upcoming weekend. Or, you can take a drive to the North Shore and see great fall colors on the way to Split Rock Lighthouse. For more ideas on how to spend MEA week, you can visit the MNHS website here.
